Assistive Technology (AT) devices are any type of aid that can substitute or enhance functions of a person with a disability.  AT can be home-made, purchased, a modified product that is used to help an individual perform a daily task. AT covers low-tech (pencil grips, paper stabilizers or adaptive scissors) to high-tech ( computers, voice output devices or braille readers). There is a wide range of supportive equipment available from adapted utensils to wheelchairs to environmental controls.
