		<description>I agree about the communication partner and PECs are important. But when you are out shopping it can be easier to use the iPrompt pictures rather than a book of PECs. And it does take a different communication method.</description>

I wanted to remind us all that PECS cards focus on the picture exchange and finding a communication partner to complete the exchange. Holding onto the icon makes the language tangible for as long as the student needs to process it.  Technology devices are not always the best medium for these skills.  Each person needs an individualized communication method.  While this device may be better than PECS for some, PECS may still be better for others.</description>
